The Devil You Say

giphyIf you were to catch me off guard and ask me what I liked the least about being a Chat Show Host, I would tell you that hands down, without a doubt, not even close, it is the AHT’s (Aluminum Hat Theories) I get sent almost daily and asking (demanding) to know why I am “not talking about this???”

In Radio, one has to be more of a generalist. There it is an attempt to get the most amount of people listening to you for the longest possible amount of time. Trust me on this, Conspiracy Theories (AHT’s) are both terrible radio and attract pretty much the least amount of people for the least amount of time. Read the rest of this entry


The Zombie Dam

Outside of Northern California it’s likely that few people realize that the Oroville Dam on the Feather River is the highest dam in the United States. It is 770′ tall, and while not as wide as some other dams, it is very, very tall. Behind it is the second largest reservoir in the State of California, a major supply point for Southern California’s water. It’s earthen. It has a spillway that is broken, and an auxiliary spillway/emergency dam that is also earthen and is just inches below the level of overflowing that emergency spillway/dam as of this writing (Monday, February 13, 2017 morning) likeĀ it was doing most of yesterday and last evening. Creative History

frsdfAt long last we have reached the Holiest Week of the Year, and Dave is ready to celebrate what has already been a much better Shark Week.

Donald Trump is a GOP candidate for President. He is certainly stirring the pot by making loud and boisterous statements about what he allegedly thinks, but when you consider his entire history, not the created history that he has cloaked himself in for the last few weeks, why would anybody in the GOP, let alone Conservatives support The Donald for President?

The City of Modesto got caught selling water to a company that bottles it and sells it – out of State. The only real question is whether or not Governments in the State are seeking the “best use” of water as a policy or whether they are looking for the highest bidder for the water. The answer is pretty obvious.

Ina decidedly more interesting games than most, the US Women defeat Japan 5-2 to win the Women’s World Cup of Futbol. The problems with Soccer remain, but this game could go a ways towards making it more palatable to Americans.
