The Volcano Doesn’t Care About Your Tariff

This past weekend, we decided – on a whim – to channel my Dad, load up in the car and head out to see what could be seen. One of Ben’s many scientific fascinations is volcanoes. He’s been watching shows and videos about them. We looked at each other and simultaneously said, “Mt. St. Helens! Jinx, you owe me a Coke!”

Cami and I are funny that way. So off we went to the Visitors center and then drove on Hwy-504 as far as we could (there was heavy snow about 3000′) and were suitably impressed by the force and the power of nature. Read the rest of this entry

As it stands rights now, at least five Broward County Deputies were on the scene at the Parkland shooting, but did not enter the building. Are there considerations as to why they failed to enter the school? Were they trained not to go in, but to wait for SWAT? Or did they just freeze? Go And look For It…

The launch of Falcon Heavy has given us back something that we misplaced forty-five years ago. The belief that we can achieve more; the hope that tomorrow will be better; a chance to go where no one has gone before…

Are you one of those people who believe that the Memo “changes everything?”

Look, I don’t think that the Democrats are un-guilty of shenanigans during the 2016 election. i believe that power corrupts and that it seeks absolute power. At which point it becomes absolutely corrupted and must be destroyed. If Hillary Clinton thought that she needed to lie, cheat, steal or even abuse puppies to win, she would have ordered those who served her to have it done with plausible deniability without a second thought about it.

And it’s very possible, hell, even probable, that she did.

Having said that, do you really believe that this Memo changes or will change anything?

It *may* open up a few eyes of people who were on the fence politically and swing a few votes to the right – for the time being. Until the Republicans go and do something equally as stupid or nefarious. Then they will go right back.

The fact is that scandal and misconduct are the historical norms in our national politics. And there is nothing that will ever change that.

Because the only thing that could change it, won’t.

Don’t believe me?

Let me tell you a story of once upon a time in the United States Senate. A fellow by the name of Barry. No… not that guy, another one… who decided one day to write a “memo” about what was going on…
