Nuclear Shutdown 4
After last weeks discussion of the Hawaiian False Nuclear Missile Alarm, a couple of listeners chimed in with some suggestions as to how to prepare, or at least be more knowledgeable of what might happen. So… let’s scenario rosily and think for a minute or two about what could be done in the event of a French… I mean Soviet… er… Nork Nuclear attack…
The whole concept of a Government shutdown is a study in how much we have strayed from the ideals of limited government and personal liberty. The government was never intended to be a weapon against the people. But what effect does a shutdown have? Well… for some of us, a pretty big one. And it’s not as easy as saying, “Oh, you’ll get it back when they agree to a budget…”
This past week, I got asked a question: “Why Constitution Thursday?”
It’s a question that I love to answer. Mainly because of all the things I did in radio, I am most proud of Constitution Thursday. I’ve always said that long after Plausibly Live or The Dave Bowman Show are done and gone, I will keep doing Constitution Thursday. It’s purpose will remain and the need for it isn’t get any less.
So here’s my answer…
