In 1959 John Brown leads a slave raid on the Armory at Harper’s Ferry, VA. Colonel Robert E. Lee of the US Army is sent to capture him.

In 1969 the Cardiff Giant was “discovered.” It turns out to be a fake, but people pay P.T. Barnum to see a model of the fake anyway.

In 1916 Margaret Sanger opens the first family planning clinic in Harlem, New York.

In 1923 the Walt Disney Company is founded.

In 1946 the Nuremberg trials end with the executions of the main Nazi defendants.

In 1964 The People Republic of China (Communist China) explodes its first atomic bomb.

Talk Show host, lifelong Baseball and Star Trek fan, US Navy Submariner and Fire Control Technician (Ballistic Missile) 1st Class Petty Officer (Submarine Qualified), Dave is married with four daughters, one son, two sons-in-law and two grandchildren plus one on the way.
